Is the Crossfit facility now up and working? I am the lead trainer here at pensacola. We re-modeled one of our facilities so that part of it was a crossfit-style facility. I have watched as some of the other crossfit affiliated military facilities have closed after the individual starting them transferred. I read the explanation about moving to an outdoor facility and know that schedules usually slide. Where are you guys at as of this date?
Thanks
Bob

I am not an authority on this matter, but as far as I can tell they are still in the process of creating the outdoor facility.

As I understand, the equipment is stored in containers, and the outdoor area appears to be constructed. This construction is simultaneous with other projects, so I would assume getting the other facilities up and running is more of a concern.

Hopefully it comes up soon.

First--really glad to see this effort for a Camp Pendleton team at the affiliate cup. The USMC sponsors te events in some fashion, as seen at the games website and last years video of the events. We should be representing our Corps in the field
of competition.
Sadly I will be deployed with I MEF Fwd this year so I can't participate. For those headed to Afghanistan durig the same timeframe I will be making an effort to train all those interested at Camp Leatherneck. We will adapt, improvise and strive to acheive elite fitness by all means necessary despite the austere conditions.
Secondly I am hoping to throw down once the Last Chance online qualifiers for the individual CF Games are announced. If you didn't know there was a deployed soldier in Iraq who qualified and represeted himself very well via the Last chance qualifier last year. This year the online qualifier will ONLY be available to those of us deployed overseas.
If you are heading out with us and want to rally aroud CrossFit Leatherneck while deployed, contact me.
